In the zone, out of the zone!

In the zone, out of the zone, but back in the zone again today!

So what if you had a day out of the zone, the important thing is to get back in the zone again the next day.

It was a great weekend for Vern’s birthday and on the whole I was super good. My hypno worked and I only had 1 piece of cake at a time lol. A big win for a foodie like me.

Slightly hung over yesterday, I went out of the zone, but am v happy to be back in it again today. 😁

Oooo, I forgot to mention another tip which is helping atm, My Fitness Pal. it’s free and is such an excellent way to remind you just how many calls you’re slipping in without realising. It may be boring recording your intake, but it works. give it a go.

Beginners Tips – Squats

I often forget just how many beginners there are who are afraid to start a class as they aren’t sure they’ll get it.

More beginners tips will be coming your way!

Today it’s about squats.

☑️ Feet hip width apart or more

☑️ Stick your buttocks back behind you and lean forward with chest lifted,  don’t tip head down to the floor

☑️ Keep knees in line with toes so you don’t knock them in

☑️Brace core to spine, pinch pelvic floor (if you know what it is lol) and as you exhale, stand tall with shoulders back and down.

☑️ Beginners especially, don’t drop your butt lower than your knees, this will put pressure on them

Squats are a wonderful exercise for all.  Strengthening your buttocks, legs and supporting your lower back.

Tight Hamstrings Anybody?

Hi

If you’ve got tight hamstrings, you seriously need to get on your foam roller. I’m so annoyed with myself for temporarily forgetting about my roller over the festive period, as have been dealing with quite sore hamstrings on a daily basis.

I’d wake and they were fine, then as the day went on they got more and more sore.

When I was warmed up last Friday, I jumped on the roller, as shown in the video, for about 5 mins and the pain and tension has now gone! I wanted to wait until today to see if it really had worked – like it always does, and it has 🎉. I’d been doing lots of hamstring stretches, but once too tight, they weren’t enough. This works.

Just incredible. So chuffed to feel lighter and back to my bouncy self.

Just don’t roll over any prominent veins and you’ll be fine.
