Would you like to train in the right heart rate zones?

Would you like to check that you’re training in the right heart rate zone?

Most of us want to burn fat and another load of us want to get fitter too.

The 2 main training zones you want to make sure you are in are zone 2 and 3.

1. Find your max heart rate. 220 – your age. For example, mine is 220-50 = 170

2. Zone 2 for fat burning is to make sure your heart rate, whilst exercising is 60-70% of that number. Mine is therefore 102-119

3. Zone 3 for a good cardiovascular plus fat burning workout is 70-80% of the max heart rate. Mine is 119-136

If you haven’t got your smart watch on, a super quick way to find you heart rate is to:

Find your pulse – neck is best

Count how many beats in 15 seconds

Multiply by 4 – easy

Know your zones and make it count!

Do you wear a smart watch?

Do you wear a fitness tracker?

I love mine. I never used to wear one as didn’t think was cool enough lol, now I’m older I don’t care and they are actually cool!

You become obsessed with making sure you’ve achieved the goals you set yourself, to get the steps in, but for me, to make sure the heart rate has elevated for long enough making me fitter and burning calories.

If you exercise within the fat burning zone you’ll lose weight, and if you exercise in the cardio zone you’ll becone fitter, which means you’ll burn more calories whilst resting. Either way it’s a winner.

Friday Check In

Friday check in ๐Ÿ’•

Hello and how’s your week been? This is a quick update to say how chuffed I am that so many people, ghostly people, who I don’t realise saw the hypnotherapy post, had seen it and have been getting onto it. ๐Ÿ˜

In terms of me being in the wonderful buzzy zone I was in last week, this hasn’t been my week. It’s been a week to say goodbye to 2 beautiful people and celebrate 2 family birthday’s, so with celebratory food all around me it’s been tough, but I enjoyed celebrating and have tried to get back in the zone each day. That’s all we can do. We’ve got to live our lives, be balanced and enjoy ourselves, as well as staying healthy in the process.

Like being a working parent, it’s all about the juggle and getting the balance right. โš–๏ธ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™€๏ธ
